There are plenty of activities at, or nearby our property in Birken. Our dock is a popular place during the summer months for swimming, chilling out or sun worship.

Our dock has rowboats, paddle boats and other water craft that are free of charge for our guests!.

You might also enjoy water skiing on Gates lake. There is a boat launch nearby.

You could also try paddling a canoe or kayak around Gates Lake. Circumnavigating Gates Lake is a challenge even for experienced paddlers.

Many of our guests enjoy the hiking trails from our Resort, or taking the trailheads that surround our property. Nearby Birkenhead Park has dozens of trails as well . .

Trail riding enthusiasts can ride on hundreds of kilometers of trails nearby. There are trails literally everywhere, and a nearby forest service road provides access to spectacular and challenging terrain for trail bike and ATV enthusiasts. In the wintertime, snowmobiling is an exciting experience with a warm hot tub awaiting upon arrival.

In the wintertime, ice skating provides a fun way to beat the winter blues. The warm fireplace waiting at your cabin afterwards provides a good incentive to get outside during the colder months.

How about train spotting?. This undated vintage photo of Gates Lake shows our property on the left, just above the train. The tracks are nearby just in case.

There is also mountain biking, fishing, badminton and of course the Classic Canadian summertime activity - toasting marshmallows in front of an open fire! Come and explore what our backyard has to offer!
